On August 12th, 2011 our friend, Chris Davidson, was killed while riding his bmx bike to his girlfriends house in the midtown Memphis area. Chris had been at a Red Fang show at the local venue, Hi Tone. He was hit about a mile from his girlfriends house and managed to make it to her house where he ultimately died in her arms. On August 17th, he was laid to rest in a KISS casket. That night an awesome memorial was held at The Hi Tone where 7 of his favorite local bands performed and several thousand dollars was raised to assist his family. Chris was my friend and over the years he designed and printed many of the WRECKED 'EM posters and covers. He was easy to work with and easy to be friends with. He loved rock n roll and supported it fiercely. In the years I knew him, we went on many road trips together, had our fill of drinks, numerous meals, and a million laughs. Chris was always smiling, was always glad to see you and you were always glad to see him. See you on the other side buddy. Man What!

WRECKED 'EM WRECKORDS is announcing a competition. Create a video featuring a song from the WRECKED 'EM WRECKORDS release 'GINGER LEE' by Iowa City's LIBERTY LEG and you could win a cash prize. WRECKED 'EM WRECKORDS is proud to sponsor this fun and creative contest and you have until July 31st, 2011 to submit your vid. The only rule is the video must feature a song from the 'GINGER LEE' cd. The band does not need to be featured in the video.
The winner will be announced here on the WRECKED 'EM WRECKORDS homepage on August 5th.
